Sesame Cabbage Salad

This crunchy cabbage salad is drenched in an Asian inspired dressing that has toasty hints of peanut, sesame and a delightful tang. Sesame Cabbage Salad is great with the dressing warm or chilled.
What You'll Need
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 head Napa or Chinese cabbage, washed and cut into bite-sized pieces
What to Do
- In a medium saucepan, heat the peanut oil over medium heat. Add the sesame seeds and garlic and saut for 3 to 5 minutes, until the seeds are golden brown.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low; add the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and canola oil, and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Place the cabbage in a large bowl and pour the warm dressing over it, tossing to coat completely. Serve immediately.
