All I have is sweetened applesauce. How much should I reduce the amount of sugar? Cannot wait to try this! Thanks!

I used Swerve brown sugar instead (further reducing sugar content) and it was DEVINE!!! It's my new "Go To" Dessert recipe -)

Looking to reduce sugar, can I replace sugar with over ripe bananas? If so, how much would I use?

Hi! Test Kitchen has not tried replacing bananas for sugar, but believes it will work in recipe. We suggest using 2 large or 3 small over ripe bananas.

I used Swerve Brown sugar, and it was amazing!

Me too

rate this cake a 5. I made this cake tonight and it was very good. I did not have light brown sugar so I used dark brown sugar. My family who are not diabetic liked it to. I am newly diagnosed so I am trying to find recipes for my husband so he does not feel deprived of the foods he loves.

I already own oat flour. How much should I use?

Hi there! One cup oat flour can replace whole oats. Hope this helps!

Can I use regular oatmeal (not instant)...???

Hi there! If you're talking about Old Fashioned Oats, yes you can! Use about 2 tablespoons less since they are larger in size than instant. Enjoy!

Yummy! The only change I made was to use splenda brown sugar blend. Super moist

This cake is delicious and will be a dessert I make regularly. My husband who is not diabetic loves it too.

Taste is delicious. What is the size or weight of 1 slice?

Hi there! 1 slice of this cake is 2.5 x 2 inches. Enjoy!

What is canola oil? I don't think it is available in the UK Sheila

Hi there! While the Test Kitchen has not tried making this recipe with the variation, we believe that canola oil is marketed as "rapeseed oil" in the UK. Please remember that modifying the ingredients in this recipe may change the provided nutritional values. Enjoy!

If I wanted to use oat flour how much would the ground up oatmeal eaual.

I followed the recipe for the most part. Only replaced the brown sugar with coconut sugar. They were super moist and very delicious! Everyone who tried them loved them.

Are the oats measured before or after being blended?

Hi there! The oats are measured before blending. Enjoy!

Thank you so much. Can't wait to try it!
