Can you use unsweetened almond milk in place of low fat milk?

I MADE THE CRUSTLESS TACO PIE LAST NIGHT AND IT WAS GOOD BUT TT DID NOT RISE BUT ABOUT ONE HALF INCH. I USED THREE LARGE EGGS BECAUSE I HAD NO EGGBEATERS AND I REALLY DO NOT CARE FOR THEM. THE PICTURE LOOKS LIKE AN INCH HIGH SO CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT I DID WRONG SO I WILL KNOW NEXT TIME. THANKS

Hello there! The test kitchen thinks that you encountered this issue with rising because you did not use enough eggs. In order to get the egg equivalent of the 1 1/2 egg substitute you'll need 6 eggs. Hope this was helpful!

I agree with the comments below - rather bland with the recommended seasonings. Made it a second time with a packet of taco seasoning and voila! it was delicious. Topping it with salsa and/or sour cream and it is as tasty as can be.

I also had high hopes for this dish, but it wasn't what I expected. It puffed up beautifully, almost like a souffle but was very bland. Won't make this again.

Hi there! We're sorry that you did not enjoy this Crustless Taco Pie as much as we did. May we suggest adding a little flavor by increasing the amount of spice in it and topping with cheese & salsa? Enjoy!

I had high hopes for this recipe. I followed it as written and ended up with a surprisingly tasteless dish. Maybe I can save it with some salsa on top. I'm really disappointed.

Can you use real eggs in this! If so would the amount be the same as the egg substitute?

Hello! - If you prefer to use real eggs, you can substitute the egg substitute for 6 whole eggs. Enjoy!
