What You'll Need
- 1 cup brown rice
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 1/4 cups reduced-sodium, fat-free chicken broth
What to Do
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, cook rice, onion, and garlic until rice is brown and onion is tender, stirring frequently.
- Stir in broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, about 1 hour. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, about 5 minutes. Fluff with fork.
