We've replaced the alcohol in this recipe with fresh orange juice, but you won't miss it a bit. This lighter, healthier family-friendly version of Sweet & Tangy Bananas Foster is simply awesome. Plus, it's safe for anyone on a diabetes diet.
What You'll Need
- 3 ripe bananas, peeled
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons grated orange peel
What to Do
- Halve bananas lengthwise and brush with orange juice to prevent browning.
- Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over low heat and stir in brown sugar.
- Add bananas and remaining orange juice and cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes until almost tender. Sprinkle with grated orange peel.
