These a little bit sweet, a little bit sour Tangy Beets are so flavorful, we're sure your whole gang with enjoy them. They are so easy to make, and fit your diabetes diet perfectly.
What You'll Need
- 1 can (16-ounce) sliced or whole beets
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons granulated Splenda
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
What to Do
- Drain liquid from beets into measuring cup. Combine beet liquid and water to equal half a cup; set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together cornstarch and Splenda. Stir in vinegar and mix well.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine cornstarch mixture and beet liquid. Bring to a boil 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in beets and cook until heated through.
