What You'll Need
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 10 plum tomatoes
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except tomatoes. Cut tomatoes lengthwise and squeeze out the seeds and juice. Toss in oil mixture and place in a 7- x 11-inch baking dish.
- Bake 20 minutes, or until tender but not overcooked.
Note
For a whole new taste, sprinkle the tomatoes with 1/2 cup of your favorite shredded cheese right after taking them out of the oven then return them to the oven for 3 to 4 more minutes, until the cheese is melted.
