Light and versatile smoked turkey sausage adds so much flavor to any diabetes recipe. Our Turkey Sausage Saute is so simple, yet so good, you'll think of making it often.
What You'll Need
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, thinly sliced
- 6 cups coarsely shredded green cabbage
- 1 (14-ounce) package smoked turkey sausage, cut into bite-size pieces
What to Do
- Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Over medium-high heat, cook onion and carrots until just tender, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to medium and add cabbage and sausage. Cook, covered, 15 to 20 minutes, or until cabbage is tender, stirring frequently.

I made this tonight. It was very good. I added red bell peppers, garlic and angel hair cabbage. I used a cast iron skillet to cook veggies and non stick for sausage then mixed together. Added a small amount of chicken broth and 2 teaspoons oil to sausage. I rate it a 4.
