Slow Cooker Turkey Dinner

This turkey recipe is great for the holidays or for a busy weeknight! Our Slow Cooker Turkey Dinner features yummy turkey breasts smothered in a delicious, homemade gravy. It's a flavor-packed turkey dinner that's great for feeding a crowd, and it's such an easy recipe!
What You'll Need
- 3 tablespoon margarine
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 large carrot, peeled and chopped
- 1 rib celery, chopped
- 4 clove garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons water
- 2 teaspoon ground sage
- 6 pound boneless turkey breasts
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
What to Do
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt margarine. Add onions, carrots, celery, and garlic, and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are lightly browned. Whisk in flour and cook an additional 1 minute. Whisk in broth, water, and sage, until combined. Pour mixture into slow cooker.
- Sprinkle turkey breast evenly with paprika, salt, and pepper. Place turkey in slow cooker (breast-side down). Cover and cook on LOW 5-1/2 to 6-1/2 hours or HIGH 3 to 3-1/2 hours, until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165 degrees F. Then, remove turkey to a cutting board.
- In a small bowl, whisk together corn starch and 2 tablespoons water. Stir into slow cooker and heat 5 to 10 minutes or until thickened. Carve turkey, discard skin, and top with gravy.
