When we started making this roasted chicken recipe in the Test Kitchen, everyone's mouth started watering. The delicious aroma of garlic filled the air, and our stomachs growled in anticipation. We weren't disappointed by the flavors, and you won't be either. It's the bit of paprika that gives this Garlic Roasted Chicken a little something extra. It's perfect for dinner any night of the week, but it's really great to make ahead and then take to a picnic or potluck. Everyone will want the recipe.
What You'll Need
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced thin
- 1 (2-1/2- to 3-pound) chicken, cut into eighths
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine oil, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt and pepper, and garlic; mix well. Add chicken, then toss until evenly coated. Place on prepared baking sheet and arrange garlic slices over top of chicken.
- Roast 55 to 60 minutes or until chicken is golden and no pink remains.
