Turn your ripe bananas into this delectably moist Cinnamon Banana Cake, perfect for any special occasion or any night of the week! Low-fat yogurt helps keep fat and calories low, while keeping flavor and nutrition high!
What You'll Need
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix well. Add the yogurt, bananas, oil, egg, and vanilla; mix until well blended, then spread into the baking dish.
- Bake for 22 to 25 minutes, or until golden and a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool, then cut into squares.
