EverydayDiabeticRecipes.com Brings Awareness to National Diabetes Month
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (October 17, 2013): The Mr. Food Test Kitchen team launched its new website; EverydayDiabeticRecipes.com as a way to help the 26 million people diagnosed with diabetes to eat better. The timing couldn’t be better as November is National Diabetes Month, a time when health organizations and people help bring awareness to this growing disease. “Although the site went live in its pre-launch phase in May, we wanted to wait to kick off the site officially during National Diabetes Month,” stated Howard Rosenthal, Chief Food Officer and the On-Air talent of the nationally syndicated Mr. Food test Kitchen TV segment.
During November, as well as throughout the year, the Mr. Food Test Kitchen wants be a resource where people who are looking to eat healthier, yet still want big flavor, will visit. Besides an abundance of mouthwatering recipes, the website also offers lots of easy cooking tips and practical ideas to eat healthier, conforming to the Mr. Food Test Kitchen standards of “quick and easy cooking.”
As the holidays approach, it’s more important than ever to keep an eye on what you’re eating. Recipes like Impossible Pumpkin Pie (with only half the amount of carbs of typical pumpkin pie), Maple-Nut Sweet Potato Casserole (which has less than 10g of sugar) and Sausage Stuffing (with only 12g of total carbs) are sure to satisfy the most finicky guests, diabetic or not.
The site is our way of helping America eat better, a passion that was developed and nurtured while working with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) on many best- selling cookbooks over the years. Patty Rosenthal, the Mr. Food Test Kitchen Director, notes, “We don’t simply only create recipes that are what everyone might expect, like salads and grilled fish, but also comforting dishes that satisfy their nutritional needs, as well as their taste buds.”
