Making your own chips is easy and guilt-free, too, since you'll be using whole wheat pita bread! The hardest decision you'll have is what to dip it in. Then again, they are so good, you could eat them without anything at all!
What You'll Need
- 6 (6-inch) whole wheat pita breads
- Cooking spray
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
What to Do
-
Preheat the oven to 350 degree F. Cut each pita into 8 equal-sized wedges. Separate each wedge into 2 pieces.
-
Coat both sides of the pita wedges lightly with cooking spray and place in a single layer on large rimmed baking sheets; sprinkle with the garlic powder. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
-
Allow the crisps to cool; serve immediately, or store in an airtight container until ready to use.
Makes about 8 dozen crisps.
